Gene W. Stuber, 81, formerly of Mohrsville, died Sept. 3rd in Berks Heim. He was the husband of the late Colleen E. (Powell) Stuber. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William Stuber and Edith (Bady) Stuber. Prior to retirement, Gene worked in the construction field, but his true passion was yard sales, flea markets and getting great deals! He loved to buy and sell his treasures and he could often be heard saying to his customers, "We're still friends!" The family will remember him most in his role as Santa on Christmas Eve, and his love of old tools. Gene served in the U.S. Army. He was pre-deceased by one sister, Patricia Stuber and a twin brother, Jack Stuber. Surviving is one daughter, Tamzen C Davis, wife of Charles (Mike), Fleetwood, PA; one son, Michael W. husband of Carol Stuber, Reading, PA; 4 Grandchildren, Diana T. Duffy, Bernville, PA, Larisa T. wife of Evan Jack, Leesport, PA, Mathew B. Stuber, husband of Brittany Winfree, Mobile, AL, and Michael A. Stuber, Thorndale, PA. He served as Greatpa to his two beloved great grandchildren, Olivia H. Jack and Molly A. Jack. Services will be private. MARK J HUMMEL Funeral Home, Reading has charge.
