Anna Cooper, 98, of Frackville, PA, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the home of her beloved niece, Joan in Doylestown, PA, where she had resided for the past two and a half years.
Anna was a cherished aunt who radiated happiness, joy, and gratitude throughout her life. Her infectious laughter and positive outlook on life touched everyone around her. She loved spending precious moments with her family, delighting in the company of her dogs, Dior and Bear. A devoted lover of the shore and dining out, Anna found joy in simple pleasures. Her unwavering faith in Jesus and the Blessed Mother was a defining aspect of her life, and her church held a special place in her heart.
Born in Frackville, PA, Anna was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Keysock) Cooper. A proud graduate of Frackville High School, she dedicated over 40 years of her career to Bell Telephone Company and AT&T as a telephone operator. Her commitment extended beyond work; she was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she joyfully participated in making pierogies and was a valued member of the St. Michael’s Lady's Sodality.
Anna is predeceased by her brother, Michael Cooper, and sisters, Helen Platko, Mary Yurkosky, and Olga Davis. She is survived by her sister, Irene Cooper of Doylestown, PA, along with four loving nieces—Joan Krasnisky, Elizabeth Davis, Donna Earhart, and Kathy Yurkosky—and three nephews—John Davis Jr., Joseph York, and Michael York. Additionally, she is remembered by two great nephews, two great nieces, and several great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom carry her legacy forward.
Viewings will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with Parastos at 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Mark J. Hummel Funeral Home, 48 N Broad Mountain Ave., Frackville, PA 17931. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Frackville, with the funeral procession beginning from the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Anna will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery.
