Beverly F. Charles

Beverly F. Charles, 76 of Reading, PA., passed away on September 21, 2025 at Laureldale Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Russell R. Charles.  Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sara (Shomo) Hess.  Beverly was a retired School Lunch Aide and is predeceased by brothers, Sanford Shomo, Robert Shomo, Frederick Hess.  Surviving is one daughter, Melissa Gonzalez, Reading, PA; brother Dennis J. Hess, Reading, PA; sister, Shirley Hafer, Reading, PA; 2 Grandchildren, Jose Gonzalez and Rebecca Gonzalez; 6 Great Grandchildren, Tiffany, Joel, Amarilys, Sammuel, Sarah and Natasha.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading, PA.  Relatives and friends will be received from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
