Charles D.W. Jackson

Mr Charles D. W Jackson 80 of Reading passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. Charles was the loving husband of the late Sarah J. Jackson, whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Charles was born March 10, 1941 in Highpoint NC, to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Jackson. Charles grew up in a loving family of seven siblings, four sisters Ruby Jackson (Reading PA), Debbie Jackson ( Tallahassee FL) predeceased Jeannette Jackson, Dorris Jackson and three brothers John Jackson (Reading PA) predeceased Gerald Jackson and Stevie Jackson. Charles graduated from Reading High School. He was formerly employed at DANA Corporation for 35 years, and later retired from Alvernia University in 2018. He loved classic cars, motorcycles and talking to old friends. Charles was a very giving man who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Charles leaves to cherish him, five daughters Jeannette Jackson (Reading) ,Robin (Alonzo) Fleming (Richmond VA), Joanne Talford (Fayetteville NC), Yvette Best (Reading) , Wanda (Kenneth) Pennywell (Dallas TX) one son Charles (Romonita) Folk (Reading) and two bonus sons Keith Jackson (Reading) and Kevin Jackson (Reading) Twenty-two grandchildren as well as a host of great-children, nieces,nephews, relatives, and friends. MARK J HUMMEL Funeral Home, Lower Alsace Twp., Reading has charge. www.markjhummelfuneralhome.com
