Donald Cavallo, Sr. Obituary

Donald “Tapper” E. Cavallo, Sr., 90 of Reading, passed away on May 18th in his residence.  He was the husband of the late Thelma J. (Bean) Cavallo, who passed away in 2013.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Anne (Loder) Cavallo.  Donald was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School and was a current member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Centre Park, Reading.  Donald has worked for Bortz Chocolate Factory where he was a Supervisor.  He also loved working as a Caddie for Stonewall Golf Club for over 20 years.  Donald and his wife had both worked together years ago at the former Sho-Boat Restaurant on Rt 183.  He is predeceased by a daughter, Lori Dale and grandsons, Michael A. Cavallo, Jr and Nicholas Cavallo.  Surviving are his sons, Patrick A. Cavallo, Reading, PA, Donald E. Cavallo, Jr., Reading, PA, Michael A. husband of Sharon L. Cavallo, Reading, PA; sister, Marianne Bean, Temple, PA; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 925 Centre Ave., Reading.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading.  Online photos and memories can be shared at www.cramp-hummelfunerahome.com  CRAMP HUMMEL Funeral Home, Centre Park, Reading has charge
