Elinor Robertson, 103 of Jacksonwald, Exeter Twp., passed away on Feb. 13th in Berks Heim. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Helen (Stricker) Buttery. She was married to the love of her life Gerald Robertson, and they married in St. Joseph's RCC, Reading. They where almost married 50 years when he passed in 1985. She as a 1935 graduate of Reading High School and she always would say she did not like a winter graduation but would have much preferred a June graduation. She as able to attend and enjoy a few of the Centenarian luncheons at the Inn at Reading. Some of her favorite things to do would be going to Shady Maple Farm Market and going out to breakfast. As a child growing up in the great depression, she always appreciated whatever she had and was always frugal. She was a practical nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and a school crossing guard at the Jacksonwald Elementary School for many years. She was predeceased by a son Leslie in 1962 and one grandchild Katie and brothers, Robert and Richard. Surviving are her children, Kathleen wife of Danny Riordan, Gerald husband of Deira Robertson, Dennis Robertson; Grandchildren, Mark, Nicole, Pattie, Susie; 6 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a very good friend Patty Shannon. Than you to the staff of B1 at Berks Heim for the compassionate care shown to Elinor during her time there. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 12:00 Noon in Schwarzwald UCC Cemetery, Jacksonwald.
