Georgine L. Geiger

Georgine L. Geiger, 96 of Reading, PA., passed away on July 2, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Richard H. Geiger, whom she married on May 31, 1952 and had passed away on November 11, 1984.  Born in West Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late Luther C. Simmon and the late Anna M. (Snyder) Simmon.  Georgine was a 1946 graduate of Wilson High School. She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.  Georgine and her husband had worked for the Cramp Funeral Home of Reading where she had purchased the business just as her husband had passed away in 1984.  She ran the business under a widows license from 1984 until she sold the business in 2015 just after her son passed in 2013.  Georgine in her earlier years enjoyed with her husband traveling, going on cruises and the airplane her husband was licensed to fly.  She is predeceased in death in addition to her husband by one son, Gregory Geiger; one brother, George Simmon; one sister, Jean Lutz.  She was the last immediate member of her family.  Georgine is survived by one niece, Cheryl L. Mitchell, GA; two nephews, Fred Lutz, PA, David T. Simmon, IN. Private services will be held and burial will be at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
