Hector Ortiz, Sr.

Hector Ortiz, Sr., 69 of Reading, passed away on June 2nd in St. Joseph Hospital, Bern Twp., PA.  He was the husband of Rosa J. Maldonado.  Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Gaspar and Elizabeth Ortiz.  Hector had worked for Baldwin Brass Co., of Reading as a Supervisor until he retired.  Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Hector Ortiz, Jr., Jacksonville, FL, Jose Vega, Reading, PA, Jenny Vega, Puerto Rico, Caesar Vega, Reading, PA,; sisters, Maritza Gonzalez, Exeter Twp., PA, Elizabeth Cruz, Reading, PA., Maribeth Ortiz, Reading, PA, Rebecca Prichardo, York, PA; 12 Grandchildren.  Viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
