James C. Hatt, 73, of Reading, passed away on May 3rd in the Southeastern Veterans Center of COVID19. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Grace C. (Weik) Hatt. He was a graduate of Wilson High School and drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the the Sinking Spring VFW Post 6150 and a member of the West Wyomissing Fire Co.. Before entering the Southeastern veterans center he was employed by the bar best known as the Penn St Tavern. The DeCarlo's mad him part of their family. Jim's friends always stood by him and he was an avid Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies Fan no matter what. He was predeceased by one sister, Donna Frank and a brother in law, Derk N. Fronheiser. Surviving are his brotherand sisters, Shirley wife of Ronald Epting, Richard Hatt, both of Hamburg, PA., Sallyann wife of Gary Frank, Barbara J. Fronheiser, both of West Lawn, PA, Kathleen Drexel, Wernersville, PA, Joanne wife of Steve Strunk, Sinking Spring, PA. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Memorial Services and burial will take place at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
