Jane K. (McCarty) Gaverick

Jane K. Gaverick, 97 of Reading, PA., passed away on February 19, 2025 at the Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Gaverick.  Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Hacker) McCarty.  Jane had worked many years ago as a seamstress in the local knitting mills in Berks County. She was predeceased by sisters, Bessie Litzenberger, Shirley Fritz; brother, Jack McCarty; Grandson, Christopher Schneider.  Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. Breidegam, Mount Penn, PA, Linda L. wife of Kenneth Schneider, Exter Twp; two sons, Barry husband of Carol Shipper, Temple, PA, Ronald  "Joe" husband of Beth Shipper, Reading, PA; 5 grandchildren, Kerry, Melissa, Sean, Nicole and Sara; 5 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily, Colt, Talon and Alexandra.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Laureldale Cemetery.
