John R. Seitzinger

John R. Seitzinger, 68 of Ashland, PA., passed away on May 29, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.  He was the husband of Janice A. (Minnich) Seitzinger for 44 1/2 years.  Born in Pottsville, PA., he was the son of the late John and Shirley (Bracey) Sietzinger.  John had worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Labor and Industry until he retired in 2007.  He  was an amazing husband and father!   He loved the Lord and is with him now!  He was an avid hunter and fisherman!

John was predeceased by one sister, Sharon Tregembo.  Surviving is one daughter, Shannon M. wife of John C. Burkitt,  Atlas, PA; brother, Allen Seitzinger Frackville, PA.; sister, Joyce Moyer, Tamaqua, PA; Grandchildren, John Robert, Brent and Matthew Burkitt.  Also surviving are his dogs, Dixie, Macey, Molly, Angel, Bella and Abby.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 49 N. Line St., Frackville, PA. Rev. Giuseppe C. Esposito, Celebrant.  A  viewing will held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Church.
