John E. Vroman, 73 of Exeter Twp., passed away on Aug. 18th in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia L. (Gilfert) Vroman of 43 years. Born in Darby, PA., he was the son of the late Richard D. and Jane (Evanson) Vroman. John was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and received a bachelor’s degree from both University of Pennsylvania and Penn State. He worked for the former Dimensions Co. of Reading as a Production Supervisor for 30 years, he later worked for the Berks County Sheriff’s office as a Deputy Sheriff for 9 years until he retired. When he retired, he was looking for something important to do , so he volunteered with the Exeter Area Food Pantry. John was extremely active in youth sports as both a coach and referee. He was especially passionate about soccer and the players he coached. He is survived in addition to his wife by one son, Daniel Vroman, Alexandria, VA; one daughter, Jennifer Vroman wife of Brian Teitsworth, Leesport, PA; brother Richard husband of Danna Vroman, Suffolk, VA; sister, Jane Albert, Lakeland, FL; 2 Grandchildren, Beatrice, and Annabella. he will be also deeply missed by his fur babies, Arleigh, Tucker and Dudley.
