Joseph F. Sumpter, JR.

Joseph F. Sumpter, Jr., 88 of Sinking Spring, PA., passed away on June 17, 2026 at his residence with his family by his side.  He was the husband of Orangie F. (Neal) Sumpter for 67 years. Born in Baltimore, MD., he was the son of the late Joseph F. Sumpter, Sr and the late Sylvia (Green) Holland. Joseph had worked his whole career with Lucent Technologies starting from a basic position and working his way up to Supervisor by the time he retired after 45 years.  He is predeceased by siblings, Willis Sumpter, Lester Sumpter and Kim Sumpter.  Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Joseph E. Sumpter, Providence Forge, VA, Craig C.
