Kenneth M. "Red" Stubblebine, 69 of Shoemakersville, passed away on April 2nd at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg, PA. Born in Reading, PA., he was the step-son and son of Bernard J. and M. Kathryn (Stubblebine) Quitinsky. Kenneth was a 1971 graduate of Reading High School, where he excelled at basketball and baseball. He had attended Wesley Jr. College. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers fan, a golfer, and spent time as a volunteer at Keystone Military Families. Kenneth was a US Army Veteran. Surviving are his children, Tabetha Stubblebine and Ryan McCord; sisters, Cecelia Q. wife of Tony Smith, Roanoke, VA; Kathryn M. wife of Edward Lengel, Reading, PA; Theresa A. Quitinsky, Temple, PA; Bernette D. wife of Donald Wrobel, Reading, PA; 8 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 11:00 AM at the Laureldale Cemetery. Online photos and memories can be shared at www.cramp-hummelfuneralhome.com.
