Margaret Ann (Wagner) Steffanic

Margaret Ann Steffanic, 82, of Mahanoy Plane, PA, passed away on May 16, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Coaldale, PA. Born in Ashland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. Wagner and Marion (Carden) Wagner.

She was employed at the former General Cigar factory in Mahanoy City and later worked as a dietary aide and home health aide. Margaret was last employed at Shenandoah Manor before retiring in 2020.

Margaret was predeceased by her brother, Charles Wagner, in 2015. 

Surviving are her two sons, Charles Wolfgang of Frackville, PA, and Raymond Peters of Barnesville, PA; two grandchildren, Nicole Wolfgang and Jamie Wolfgang; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jameson, and Rhys.

Margaret also leaves behind her beloved cat, Boomer, who will remain in the care of her granddaughter, Nicole.

Margaret will be remembered for the love she showed to those closest to her. She had a deep love for all of her grandchildren, a love that will be carried on for years to come.

Rest in peace to the best Nana we could have asked for.
