Melissa L. Rietz, 44, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Spruce Manor, West Reading, PA. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Randy and Irene (Bortz) Rietz. Surviving her is one daughter, Tressica Cassel, Reading, PA; one son, Jason Eric Geib Jr., Myerstown, PA; sister, Jenny Pursel, wife of Brian Pursel, Leesport, PA; two brothers: Aaron Piper, Kutztown, PA, and Brian Rietz, Sonoita, AZ; and one granddaughter, Olivia Shaye Galloway. She is also survived by her uncle, Kevin Rietz, husband of Caroline, Lenoir City, TN; three nieces: Jessica Smith, Norristown, PA, Teresa Smith-Lee, wife of Ryan Lee, Philadelphia, PA, and Jocelyn Pursel, Leesport, PA; one nephew, Dennis G. Smith III, Philadelphia, PA; one great-niece, Gabriella Ioannucci, and one great-nephew, Thomas Ioannucci. Services will be private.
