Michael J. DeVanney, 79, of Bern Twp, PA, passed away June 10, 2026, under hospice care at Reading Hospital. Born in Bloomsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Leo F. and Eleanor (Pinterich) Devanney. Mike was a US Army Veteran, 82nd Airborne Division, serving three tours in Vietnam. He was a welder at Dana Corp. until it's closing, then went on to be a USPS Rural Route Mail Carrier, retiring in June, 2015. He enjoyed hiking, biking, cross country skiing, rugby, and his cabin in Sullivan County, PA. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa Bewley DeVanney, his brothers Leo. F. (Sharon) Devanney, Jr., Harwinton, CT, Charles R. (Donna) Devanney of Mifflinburg, PA, as well as 3 nephews, 3 nieces, and 8 great nephews and nieces. Per Mike's wishes, services will be private.
