Spencer "Butch" C. Dierolf, Jr

Spencer C. "Butch" Dierolf, 75 of Reading, passed away on Feb. 18th in his surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Monica A. (Peskowsi) Dierolf, who passed away November, 2019.  Born in Reading, PA., he was the son of the late Spencer C. Dierolf, Sr., and the late Irene (Shellenberger) Dierolf.  Spencer was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam war serving on the USS Preserver.  He enjoyed Bowling, Golf, and played baseball in various leagues locally for many years. Spencer was a professional truck driver for over 40 years for various companies until he retired.  He then worked for Truck Movers as a shuttle driver. Surviving are his children, Christopher L. Dierolf, Reading, PA, Laura J. wife of Jeremy Geissler, Reading, PA, Theresa E. Weber, Reading, PA, Michelle L. wife of Albert Beaton, Reading, PA; brother, Tim husband of Donna Dierolf, Boyertown, PA; sister, Beverly wife of William Knight, Reading, PA.; 3 Grandchildren, Benjamin F. Mathis, III, Lorenzo J. Mathis, and Piper M. Beaton.  A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to ProMedica Hospice, 2201 Ridgewood Rd., Suite 180, Wyomissing, PA. 19610.  CRAMP HUMMEL Funeral Home, Centre Ave., Reading has charge of arrangements.
