Theresa Jean (Simpson) Dyer

Theresa Jean Dyer, 73 of Mt Penn, passed away on May 13th in her residence.  She was the wife of Dennis C. Dyer.  Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late James R. Simpson and Rosanna (Chad) Simpson.  Jean had worked for Gilbert Associates as the Director of Employees Association and when living in Virginia, she had worked for Phillip Morris and the Red Cross.  Jean had also worked for the Reading Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in the Emergency Depart. She had volunteered at Birthright and with Prospectus Berco of Reading, Berks Encore, Exeter Food Pantry and ARC.  Jean enjoyed Golfing and Reading.  She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Reading.  She is predeceased by brothers, James, Thomas, Daniel, Peter Simpson; Sister, Marie Moodispaugh.  Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, Stephen J. Dyer, husband of Michelle Lynne Mayer, Philadelphia, PA; Brothers, William Simpson, Cincinnati, OH, Michael Simpson, Reading, PA, Robert Simpson, Reading, PA, Joseph Simpson, Ridgley, West Virginia,.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA. 19606.  Relatives and friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in church.  Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA. 19606 or to John Paul II center for special learning, 1092 Welsh Rd.
